1.
Family Tree 05:20
Ten tiny little fingers ten tiny little toes every sound around is new and smells of jasmine rose perfume the air and I'm there and you're here and i care ten tiny little raindrops arranged all in a row and if they come together the tiny bubble world will grow in every drop is a dream an entire world unseen oh brother what a single tear can do to calm the madness to keep at bay fear I'm glad to have brothers I'm glad that we're here there's a cool fog descending like a blanket on town and the warm fire is cracklin we're all hunkering down for the night this is right where I need to be
2.
Silent, silent, silent and slow a delicate petal, released from the rose free of her fetters, and light on her toes, lithe as the wind that blows for a joy as big as the sky as fierce and harsh as life's first cry is the only thing she knows and she is unafraid to let go. behind the rose, a modest bloom; behind the bloom, a bud; buds are born from stems and thorns, a shoot takin' root in the mud.
3.
Sometimes in life, just like a rollin' tumbleweed, out of nearly thin air, you can rustle what ya need. Little darlin', I guess what I'm tryin' to say, is would you like to accompany me on a date? When I was younger, took to cowboys like you, the kinder and gentler were precious and few. so please don't dismay, and I hope you don't mind, but my previous lovers were downright unkind. Come again, come around, let the moon spill on the ground. We could be you and me I don't see nothin', darlin', when your eyes shine down on mine. Come, angel divine, know me. And if it's just all too much, darlin', hush, I'll let you be; the road is long, we'll carry on, I can be stronger, darlin', but if you think you've changed your mind, come, walk by my side, know me.
4.
Mountain of trust, starts with a few grains of dust and with time, it'll bloom. A friendship that lasts comes with joy and with pain and with time and with patience and room. How high can we climb? Give me your hand, I'll give you mine. A mountain of trust, we cannot know its height until we choose to go. Mountain of trust, we'll take it one step at a time there's no pressure, of course. And if we forget where we have placed our hope, we'll remember the source. How high can we climb? Give me your hand, I'll give you mine. A mountain of trust, we cannot know its height until we choose to go. From the top we'll gaze out over yonder new horizon. Out over the Atlantic Ocean, sun is risin'. We're on our way. From the top we'll gaze out over yonder new horizon. Out over the Atlantic Ocean, sun is risin'. It's a brand new day.

Open Arms 03:27
open, open arms wide open hopin', hopin', forever I am hopin' that your open arms find me, find me clasp behind me hold me, hold me, carry me and hold me through the ragin' storm.

about

Em McKeever Newark, Delaware

Em McKeever, self-described “classical guitarist gone haywire,” melds her love of wordcraft with musical pizzazz. She is a Newark-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, often writing for banjo, dulcimer, tin whistle, and any other instrument that crosses her path. Her songs vary in sentiment and topic - stinkbugs and coffee play a comedic counterpart to her more emotive compositions. ... more
